Bangor, Maine — The Galen Cole Family Foundation has announced the seasonal launch of a Veteran Heating Assistance Program to support veterans living in Aroostook County. The initiative provides up to 100 gallons of #2 heating fuel or kerosene, delivered at no cost, to veterans in need of winter heating support.

This program reflects the Foundation’s ongoing mission to honor veterans and serve Maine communities by addressing real and immediate needs. With Maine’s harsh winter months ahead, the Foundation’s goal is to ensure that no veteran is left without warmth or comfort.

The program was made possible through a collaborative partnership among the Foundation, S.W. Collins Co., Aroostook Savings & Loan, and Daigle Oil Company. Together, these organizations are combining resources and community spirit to provide essential support to those who have served.

“Working with our local partners to meet the needs of veterans in Aroostook County shows the power of community in action,” said Foundation President, Scott Oxley. “Our success with this endeavor would not be possible without the commitment and collaboration from these partners and their support of veterans in the county.”

Veterans residing in Aroostook County can learn more and apply for assistance through the Foundation’s website at www.colemuseum.org/veteran-heating-assistance-program-aroostook-county/
