LBM Journal announces 2024 “40 Under 40” inductees
LBM Journal, the leading media company serving the lumber and building materials industry, announced its 2024 “40 Under 40” inductees to spotlight the next generation of leaders in the industry.
Now in its second year, the 2024 class was chosen from more than 100 nominations from across the U.S., ranging from large companies to smaller, family-owned dealers. Nominees were reviewed and narrowed to a list of finalists by members of the inaugural 2023 “40 Under 40” class.
Clara Collins, Operations Manager at S.W. Collins Company, has been honored as one of LBM Journal’s 40 Under 40 for 2024.
This prestigious award recognizes emerging leaders in the lumber and building materials industry.
As a sixth-generation member of her family’s 180-year-old business, Clara has significantly enhanced operations across S.W. Collins’ five locations in Maine. Her initiatives include improving inter-store communication, standardizing processes, and mentoring staff. Notably, she has overhauled the employee handbook to enhance benefits, expanded product lines, and developed standardized contracts for installations.
Clara’s leadership extends beyond her company; she serves as Vice President of the Retail Lumber Dealers Association of Maine, contributing to the broader industry.
In October 2024, Clara participated in a panel discussion at the LBM Strategies 2024 Conference, sharing insights on attracting top talent to the industry.
S.W. Collins Company celebrates Clara’s achievement, highlighting her dedication and the positive impact of her leadership on the company’s growth and community engagement.
Clara’s recognition as an LBM Journal 40 Under 40 honoree underscores her commitment to excellence and innovation in the lumber and building materials sector.
