2025 5K Race & Kids Fun Run Results

S.W. Collins Co. is proud to announce the successful completion of its annual 5K race held Sunday, June 22, which was marked by determination, community spirit, and historic achievements. This year’s event made history as both the overall male and female winners were the youngest champions the race has ever seen.

Taking the top spot in the men’s division was 13-year-old Pierce Gorneault of Caribou who crossed the finish line with a remarkable time of 18:32.3, outrunning a competitive field of seasoned runners. In the women’s division, 12-year-old Lillian Johnson of Presque Isle impressed spectators with a winning time of 20:26.1, earning her the title of overall female winner and making her the youngest female champion in the race’s history.

“These young athletes have not only demonstrated outstanding physical ability but also an incredible level of discipline and heart,” said Sam Collins, President of S.W. Collins Co. “It’s truly inspiring to see the next generation embracing community, fitness, and friendly competition with such enthusiasm.”

This year’s race welcomed 68 participants across walking and running categories, with divisions for all age groups and awards presented to the top three finishers in each. Adding to the excitement, Pierce Gorneault took home the door prize; a new pair of sneakers generously donated by Sleepers Shopping Center making it a double win and a memorable day for him.

A highlight for families was the Kids Fun Run, which welcomed 31 participants between the ages of 2 and 12. Designed to promote fitness and fun, the event sparked laughter and cheers as children sprinted to the finish line. The smiles on their faces reflected the true spirit of the day: celebrating wellness, community, and the joy of being active – rain or shine.
