Design Center Manager
Cindy has been a National Kitchen & Bath Association Certified Kitchen Designer (CKD) since 1991. She owned her own kitchen business for 16 years before coming to work at S.W. Collins Co. to manage the 4,000 square foot new Home Design Center located in Caribou.
Cindy, CKD, CAPS, has achieved designation as a Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS) through the National Association of Home Builders. She is also the only Certified Kitchen Designer north of Bangor.
Cindy has designed over 700 kitchens, baths, offices, and other room projects such as entertainment centers, etc. throughout the state of Maine, New Brunswick and New England.
In February of 2004, she won 1st place National Winner and 1st place Northeast Winner of the Decora Cabinetry Design Contest in the “Other Room” category and her design was featured in Decora literature.
Personal Notes: I worked as an RN for 20 years before switching to a career that I had been thinking about since I was in high school. In my free time I enjoy gardening, going to our lake cottage and being with my family and grandchildren.
Associate Kitchen & Bath Designer (AKBD)
Gaye has been with S.W. Collins Company as a Kitchen & Bath Designer for 7 years. She is a graduate of Northern Maine Community College and University of Southern Maine having degrees in Drafting Design and Vocational Education.
She has worked for CIANBRO Corporation, a local Land Surveyor and taught Drafting and related classes at Northern Maine Community College.
Gaye has experience with a variety of remodeling jobs. With 30 years of construction, design and teaching experience she is known in the industry for having extensive building knowledge, is detail oriented and is a pleasure to work with.
Kim has an Associate Degree in Fashion Merchandising and was employed as a manager for The Limited Stores, Inc. for 9 years while she and her family were living in Florida.
She and her husband returned home to Maine in 1996 to farm and raise their family “back home”. After being a stay-at-home mom for 17 years, she returned to work as a Design Assistant at the S. W. Collins Home Design Center in 2006.
Kim loves interior design and often experiments with colors and ideas in her own home. In our Home Design Center showroom, she enjoys educating customers on color choices, industry trends, and products, and helping them coordinate all of the visual elements of their projects. She feels that excellent customer service is the primary reason that customers choose the S.W. Collins Home Design Center for their projects.
